This is a serious vintage race engine. The customer wanted good power and reliability so the heads were converted to shim-under bucket style for maximum revs, titanium intake valves were used along with stainless steel exhausts. A special hi-lift Carobu grind cam was specified for good torque and power. Our engine simulation software suggested better intake porting while leaving the exhaust side alone. Final power output justified the extra effort.
